The Basic Council of the Bar, also known as the Bar Council, is the consultant body of barristers in England and Wales. It acts in matters of general concern to the profession and, by the unbiased Bar Standards Board, regulates the professional conduct of its members. A barrister is required to simply accept any case for a correct skilled charge, for instance, regardless of his private emotions, besides when there are circumstances of conflicting pursuits of purchasers.
